A plum of a hollow form with delightful natural colors and patterns in the timber. This vase, friction wax polished, stands 180mm high, is light weight and stands steady on a 60mm wide base.

Hollow form turned from puriri, carved, pierced and pyrography finished with Beall buff system.  200mm x 80mm.

Turned  and carved out of  Arizona Cypress, soaked in boiled linseed oil, sealed off with beeswax/manuka oil paste. Very light with its textures appealing to the senses to hold in the hand . 240mm diam x 160mm H.

Red gum hollow form, finished with Danish oil.  120mm wide x 80mm high.

This gorgeous natural edge vase is a crown from a very old rambling Rose, finished size190 x 120, turned, hollowed and painted Metallic Gold inside. The outside was finished with numerous coats of Danish Oil and then waxed.

Open top ornamental vase or bowl.  Made from beech, 13cm diameter, 9.5cm high.

Turned from a tagua nut.  Cracks were filled with blue resin.  Height – 40 mm, width – 28 mm

Timber is spalted pseudopanax or fivefinger from Opotiki Beach.  Finish is French polish/shellac. H=225mm/Cup max W= 80mm/D=80mm/Base W = 50mm.

The good wood of a pohutukawa branch turned to a pleasing shape.  Finish is Danish oil.  190mm high, 210mm wide.

A slimmer, yet still decorative, pohutukawa branch which is decorative by itself or with a dried arrangement.  Finish is Danish oil.  200mm h, 125mm wide.

Yew 250h 190dia.  Carved leaves and copper inlay carved with Pohutukawa flowers.  The colour of the wood is natural with an oil finish to highlight the grain.  The realism in the leaves and flowers are testament to detail added.
