A 300mm x 95mm, deeply undercut puriri rim bowl,  friction wax finished. Mostly clear timber, has a spot with pressure stress ripples in one area and confused grain akin to burl in another, seamlessly fusing confusion and order into one.

Ancient Kauri Delight

Ancient kauri 280dia x 150h.  Turned to a form to highlight the beauty that was within.  The chatoyance and depth of grain have further been enhanced with Danish oil to give an appearance of depth of water in a pond.
