Shell 96 is created from 37 laminated 4mm Meranti plywood and corrugated cardboard segments. 320mm high x 180mm wide excluding stand. Finished with thinned crystal clear epoxy resin with multiple coats of satin enamel clear coats.

Near perfect rings working to bring order and peace to a broken contorted world shaped by power, greed, fear, and selfishness. A world order that refuses to correct itself. 330mm Pohutukawa centre shaft, hardwood rings with poplar embedded Celtic rings.
- The plait and clove hitch represents the bonds.

Tiny mouse hidden in the remains of a hundred year old totara fence post. Plenty to cover the little creature, protected by turned bamboo plugs in a pyrography and carved texture 150mm diameter sphere.
Kaka carved macrocarpa on jarrah log. Coloured with acrylic metallic paints and protective polyurethane. Measures 340cms beck to tail and stands 280cms tall. Presents a formidable predictor in bush areas.
A replica of a 7 oz bottle of the drink that came before Coke in the south of NZ in the 1960s. "Lanes Bottled Sunshine" was the soft drink we grew up with. Turned from swamp Totara, pyrography and acrylic paints and oiled to give that cola colour. Dimensions 200mm x 55mm
This piece carries the marks of crafting difficulties. Design dreams not always practical in reality. Finished piece reflects these struggles and changes and maybe, just maybe, the better for it. 250mm tall Pohutukawa, rimu ball, gold leaf embellishment.
Feeding Manta Ray carved from a single piece of unidentified timber. The tail, and base, are carbon fibre & Teak. 310mm wide, 330mm high
Walking stick (950mm long) features a Rattlesnake climbing towards a Mouse. Stick and snake carved from Macrocarpa and 180mm long handle from Cherry. Pyrography used to create individual snake scales and colours added with acrylic paints.
An off-centre turning from red beech. The idea came to me as I absent-mindedly rolled left-over epoxy between my palms. Coloured with water-based dyes, gilders paste, mica powders, and finished with picture varnish. Approx 100 x 50 x 50.

The inspiration to create this sculpture came from a recent Australian visit where I was able to see and photograph this beautiful bird. Carved from Tupelo Wood and painted with acrylics, it stands 270mm high.
A sculptural contemporary flower, created from multiple turned and carved layers of macrocarpa & Rewarewa, juxtaposed alongside a delicate butterfly and both are mounted on a figured piece of stained macrocarpa. Decorated with pyrography & metallic paints - finished with Danish Oil & lacquer. Dimensions 360 x 230 x 100mm
