This little box is made from recycled jarrah power pole cross arm and resin. It's 60mm square and 65mm high.

Ash box with swamp totara rings. Inside the box is a ring holder that doubles as a spinning top. Finished using the Beall buff system. 140mm high x 100mm wide.
Pohutukawa collared box with an internal lid of totara burl & ebony. Wax polished interior finish highlighting pohutukawa & totara burl. Externally, satin lacquer over painted basketweave bookended by totara burl inserts. Measures 78mm tall by 65mm wide.
The lower part of a camellia tree trunk was turned. The cracks were filled with jarrah dust. The lid was an upper branch of the camellia tree, hence the darker colour. Height - 190 mm, width – 150 mm
Carved from cherry root with Dremel sanding on interior. Turned mahogany handle. Hand sanded to 400grit. Finished with two coats Danish oil and four of Briwax, hand polished. Sculptured edge is natural root surface. Length 200mm, Width 105mm, Depth 86mm.
Rippled ash with and ebony finial. Finish is Fiddes wax. Size 90mm wide and 90 high.
This is a small lidded box from a piece of box elder burr
Ancient kauri box for jewellery or small items. A tray inside doubles as a ring holder. On the lid is a branch with a little fantail. Fantail and leaves turned and carved. Timbers used are ancient kauri, matai, and black maire. 100mm x 180mm
Spalted sycamore hollow form with ebony ring insert under an ebony finial via a threaded pewter interface. Finished in carnuaba wax via Beall buffing system. Measures 200mm tall by 105mm wide.
Kauri bowl, lacey oak lid. Clear 2-pot lacquer finish. Styled to make an attractive jewellery box to leave on top of a dressing table.

Oak bowl with mahogany lid that is embellished to a medieval look with gliders paste, paints, carving and pyrography. The lid can be used as a second bowl as the rope carving acts as a foot. Finished in Danish oil. 300mm x 190mm.

Chinese influenced pagoda box made from poplar burl with root inclusions. The beading top and bottom of the box body creates a transition from the base and lid. Dia 13cm high x 8cm wide. The finish is three stage Beall.
Swamp kauri, turned and carved. With kauri root inserts. The mountain range is the view from Cave Stream carpark in the Castle Hill Basin, Arthur's Pass, South Island. Measures 80mm tapering to 80mm wide x 70mm high. Beall buff finish.
