A stunning rimu platter that anyone would enjoy having as a show piece on their table, sanded with linseed oil through each grit then two coats of Shellawax polish. W=370 mm and H=40mm.
Figured grey gum, Eucalyptus punctata, bowl. 19 cm diameter by 4 cm tall. Finished with Danish oil and buffed. The title of this piece comes from the nature of this wood, it is extremely hard and figured.
Lovely contrasting heart to sapwood grained salad bowl. Finely turned from recycled Tasmanian blackwood timber. 240mm diameter x 60mm deep. Finished with food safe tung oil. A simply elegant designed and executed bowl to enhance the dinner table.
This young rimu (Dacrydium cupressinum) died to make space for more cars. Now it is a salad bowl big enough for all. Finish is Beall buff. Size 280mm wide and 150 high.
