Chinese influenced pagoda box made from poplar burl with root inclusions. The beading top and bottom of the box body creates a transition from the base and lid. Dia 13cm high x 8cm wide. The finish is three stage Beall.
Salvaged native red beech plate with natural burnt remnants. Finished with tung oil and citrus thinners. Plate is 30cm in diameter x 5cm high.
Macrocarpa centrepiece plate with large carved margin. Coloured finish is layers of spirit stain with topcoats of interference paint. Final finish several coats of stain polyurethane lacquer. The plate is 28cm in dia and 4cm high.
Inspired by the bizarre forms of steam punk, lathe turned with the spout and handle turned off-centre through four axes then carved to shape. The finish is rust effect paint with the detail carved then highlighted with gilding wax. 24cmx18cm.
A simple yet elegant tall teapot made from spalted sycamore with black walnut spout, handle and lid crowned by deer antler. The spout and handle are hand carved. Finish is tung oil and citrus thinners. 20cm high x 17cm wide.
