Ash box with swamp totara rings. Inside the box is a ring holder that doubles as a spinning top. Finished using the Beall buff system.  140mm high x 100mm wide.

Turned and carved from a piece of whiteywood that had two branches growing at the head of another branch. Hollowed through the pith of the main branch and left to warp. 115mm high x 100mm wide. Wood wax finish.

Whiteywood, turned green. Carved feathers to underside with carved totara feather added to stabilise crack. 290mm long x 175mm wide x75mm high x 4mm thick.  Inspired by the sparrows I've watched come and go from this tree. Beall buff finish.

Swamp kauri, turned and carved. With kauri root inserts.  The mountain range is the view from Cave Stream carpark in the Castle Hill Basin, Arthur's Pass, South Island. Measures 80mm tapering to 80mm wide x 70mm high. Beall buff finish.

Kauri, turned, carved, guilders paste and reactive paints. Enamel clear finish.  An silver gilded vine weaving around a rusty cup. The loaded vine encompasses twelve figures, also doves, snails, an eagle, lamb and grasshopper.  175mm high x 140mm wide.
