This kahikatea bowl showcases the basket weave pyrography pattern on the exterior providing a ying/yang effect with the interior remaining natural.  Finished  with lacquer.  W 170mm  x H 75mm

A selection of cooking spatulas made from red gum, vitex, rimu and silky oak presented in a silky oak base turned on three axes.  Finished with sanding sealer and Beall buffed  W:390mm x H:360mm (base only W:200mm x H:100mm)

Created from camphor laurel with beading this piece utilises the grain structure to depict a moon landscape. Finished with ondina oil and Beall buffed to a semi gloss.  W: 340mm  (H 380mm with black stand)

Based on an Egyptian reed boat, turned from wet camphor laurel to a 2mm thin wall to allow natural movement of the piece.  Finished with sanding sealer and Beall buffed to a high finish.  W:230mm  x H:90mm

Made from pine depicting the tidal movement on the sand.  This piece is blow torched highlighting the grain structure, wire brushed and painted iridescent blue and black.  Finished with sanding sealer and waxed. W185mm x H60mm.

A beautiful ruby coloured red gum burl, inspired by the colours and textures of life.   Finished with sanding sealer and Beall buffed.  W 300mm x H 65mm.

Made from kahikatea wet turned to 3mm thickness.  Painted satin black and burnt red.  Kahikatea feather with pyrography.  Plaited flax head band and interior liner.  Stand is off-centre turned black maire.  W:200mm x H:225mm.
